" Hi, about 2 years ago I had a lesion and what's called a fatty sparing show on the CT scan. These seem quite common usually nothing to worry about ( So DR told me, but needed MRI to be sure)
but you get the MRI scan for a more rounded look at the lesion,
my next CT scan was back to normal (no sign of lesions) I was given no treatment
I hope you MRI shows nothing to worry about I know the waiting is hard
Regards "

" Hepatic hemangiomas are the most common benign liver lesions. In one study, 72 percent of people who were referred for liver lesions turned out to be hemangiomas. The prevlance of hemangiomas range from 0.4 to 20 percent in the general population.

For further study an MRI can define the lesion. A fine needle biopsy can also be considered for further evaluation. Most hemangiomas are asymptommatic and have a good outcome.

" Sure I guess I should know something in a couple of weeks and I'll keep you all posted. Read your message Craig re: the site. I know you are the mainstay of this site and I think we all rely on you for that. I'll try to start contributing what I can although I'm sure I won't be anywhere near as informative as you are. "
