" Hello, yes my son's spleen has been enlarged from the start of our journey. It sits about and inch lower than his bottom rib. He has random pains and discomfort with it especially if overactive. The tendons that hold the oversized spleen will sometimes stretch or feel tension and discomfort to the patient is common. My son used to jump on the trampoline before we knew his spleen was enlarged and afterward he would complain of pains which I never could figure out. Because of the cirrhosis the spleen is the first organ that the blood backs up to through the portal vien. My son's spleen will always be enlarged the doc's say. "
