Prolonged swelling after adult Circumcision

I'm 28 and had a circumcision 6 weeks ago. Everything is pretty much healed but I have a band of swelling from cutline to head of penis. This is worrying me cause those I've talked to that had adult Circs were completly healed by 5th or 6th week & looking normal. Did anyone else experience this or know anything about it? It would be appreciated very much!

" yeah, showed him & he said all was normal. BUT we all know what a circumcised penis looks like - shaft one size up to a flared head not shaft one size to a swollen band to a flared head. I ended up e-mailing a circumcision doc in Atlanta who reassured me that sometimes the lymphatic nerves take longer to reconnect & creates swelling.
I'm happy to say that the swelling is almost all gone. I guess its just taking a little longer to heal than most! "

" Why the hell did you get circumcised? Here's a question: the next time someone wants to get circumcised, can they please donate their foreskin to me? I'll pay for your operation if you do, and, in fact, I'll pay you any amount extra on top of that that you want as well. "

" I had it done cause I had phimosis- the skin would have a hard time retracting over the head especially when I was erect & when it did retract- it would stay there & would start to hurt which would cause me to lose my erection. I made sure it was a loose circumcision cause I enjoy the extra skin going over my head during sex.
Have you tried restoring your foreskin? I have heard a few guys that have had success from the techniques they used. Look into it! "

" Hi Pete. Thanks for the suggestion. You know they have steroid creams and such for that, right? You didn't have to get part of your body cut off. I guess it's a little late to be telling you now. I can tell you that if it were me, I would never lose my foreskin for anything...and I do fully intend to have one again, I'm NOT letting anyone cut it off a second time, even if I did get phimosis, no matter how badly it hurt.

As for restoring my foteskin, that is what I'm intending to do, but I think I may need either stem cells or, as I said, possibly even a transplant from a donor to really do it. If you're talking about non-surgical restoration.....that doesn't really do the trick. once circumcised, one can only approximate the look and feel of an original foreskin through restoration. Restoration can never replace the skin that was originally there, it cannot replace the frenlum, or nerve endings, it will never be the way it was or would have been, this process will really just make the penis look more like a uncircumcised one, mostly. It brigs back some sensitivuty but it doesn't really fix what was broken. "

" Actually, I didnt know about stretching creams- the doc just kinda brought that up & said but it takes a while to achieve or have a circumcision, which I really never thought of doing before the problem.
I understand what you're saying though, if your frenulum was lost. Circumcision is a strange topic, guy. I've talked to guys like you- who wish they can be uncut again & the uncut guys who absolutely HATE their foreskin. Its a strange topic that should probably be a personal choice. I hope you're able to have success w/ your goal, guy! "

" Hi Pete.

I'm uncut, but did a LOT of research a few years ago about circumscion for my partners' benefit, then decided to stay as I am. If you had phimosis then a cut was the way to go and don't worry too much about the swelling. It will get better,
B. "
