I'm trying to find more people like me that have Chronic tendon pain. It's similiar yet different than joint pain and arthritis. However, Fibromyalgia eventually develops. Chronic tendonosis they say is a rare disease with no cure. It's like a form of cancer. My immune system is destroying every tendon in my body. My outcome is to be like a vegtable in excruiating pain 24/7. Steriod injections don't work. Pain meds take the edge off but it never goes away. Prololtheraphy didn't help me because you can only treat one part of the body at a time and it's an excruitating treatment.
We all have chronic pain here. I'm just trying see just how rare this disease is. Please reply. Hopefully we'll have enough of us to start our Support group and chat weekly or daily to help and understand each others difficulities. I love DS. Thanks for everything. Posted on 11/04/09, 10:11 pm |

I have sever joint pain and muscle pain from Lyme disease that nobody caught all my life so it has messed me up pretty bad . I am sorry to hear of this rare disease you are battling. I hope that you can find more people with it to give you some support. It is one thing supporting each other about pain but it does help when the other people know exactly what your going through. I will lift you up in prayer and ask God that he help you find some of those that may have it and that he be able to bring healing to you. I wish you the very best.

Hi Tendonshurt..I was diagnosed with Fibro a few months ago along with severe arthitis. I have chronic inflammation in my tendons, joints and muscles. I did the whole steroid injection thing with no luck. Right now pool therapy is the only thing keeping me from being bed ridden. Pain meds work sometimes but only about 20% of the time. Sorry about your rare condition. Sounds aweful. I too just love DS. I think it's wonderful. I wish all the CPers could fly to one location and have a huge meeting. That would be so cool. Take care and I hope your days are filled with less pain. :)
~big hugs

Hi tendonshurt, I have some locations of chronic tendonitis, but not like you're describing. Hang in there. I have had a couple of series of prolotherapy and though it was uncomfortable for me, eventually I believe it was helpful. Mine was done in the tendons/ligaments in my Sacro-Iliac joints, with the purpose of trying to scar and therefore shrink the ligaments so that I wouldn't do things like roll over in bed and dislocate my SI joints. It was done in the late 90's and now I'm glad I did it, but also glad it's over. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
