" Hi,

Yes, I'm on my third month. My insurance company isn't happy about it, but it's the only game in town.

It is more consistent than the fent patch, which I quit because they are trash. I was in and out of withdrawl and finally dug deep enough to sell my doc on a different long acting.

It took a month to completely withdraw from the fent, and the Avinzia made me a bit paranoid at first, as did Endocet. I find Avinzia more consistent, overall.

Get some Miralax, I kid you not. And get some chlorhexadrine mouthwash or Quench gum if you find your mouth tastes crappy.

Plus, I'm not a depressed guy, but the downer effect does sometimes depress me a bit, and sometimes it can be sedating. It just takes some getting used to. Hopefully, your doc will find a close equigesic dose. My dose is a bit lower equigesically compared to fent, but I don't want to go any higher on it right now.

Also, remember that this stuff can be lethal if you accidently crunch down on a capsule, or dry swallow and get it stuck in your throat, resulting in rapid release.

Good luck...Snake "

" It did nothing for the pain, so I stopped it. From what I understand others evaluate it only mildly effective, and I agree. We all have different body chemistries so one person can't always predict these things. I hope it works for you, the long acting part of it is certainly a dream come true for us! "

" yes, I've tried AVINZA and it was fine. Snake, there is another much cheaper game in town, Oramorph. Oramorph is a 12-hr morphine pill that costs about $45 per month without insurance. I am now on that and I am equally happy with it. "

" Thanks, ChronicIL

I'll ask my doc. I am always skeptical that anything oral stays in your body 24 full hours, As Avinza claims, especially after the time my dog ate some crayons...-Snake "
