whenever i don't take my pain meds, because maybe i am not in pain after about four hours my stomach starts screaming, it hurts so bad, i was on belladona, i think i will ask for something to calm my stomach, so if i want to go without my meds for a bit, i can without going into terriable stomach pain. is lomital a good choice, i have colitis, it is painful, but somedays, i think the pain meds have created this monster. because a phamisist told me that it meant my gut was wakeing up. well mine over reacts. i don't know what to do. does anyone else have this, if you skip your meds, for whatever reason, your gut starts hurting and burning...really really badly, and what do you do?they don't make belladone any longer, it was perscribed to me for acute colitis. it worked like a charm.

" I swear by Pudin Hara, a very strong over-the-counter product from India. It can be found at your local Indian-Pakistani grocer or online. "

" Hi. I had c-difficile colitis in 2004. I was hospitalized for it. My heart goes out to you.

Lomatil is the only thing that will stop your stomach from going into spasm. I know what you are going through. I went through it for four months straight. My doctor had me taking Imodium by the handful. Then, a nurse told me about this miracle drug. It will stop it in its tracks. They said I developed it because of a previous hospital stay; but I learned that for me it was from taking excessive antibiotics and it throws your system off (to say the least). I now have to take a special antibiotic. My best to you. Also, adding a drink of aloe vera (I buy mine at GNC) really helps the tummy, along with Ginger. Take care. "

" Ginger works real good for me. My problem is I have nausea all the time. Really bad when I first wake up. It's been so bad I haven't been able to eat losing 15 pounds last month. Although today was the first day in a long time that I actually ate a full dinner and had a cookie just a min ago. When I was on Vicodin I used to get horrific IBS. It was plain aweful. Since I've been on the oxycodone I've had maybe one episode where my tummy cramped but it only lasted about 20 mins. There is so much acid in my stomach it's horrible at times. Hope you feel better soon. :) "

" I thought this happened to just me! I was taking pain meds about every 4 hours and the same thing started happening. Once in a while I wasn't hurting so I didn't want to take anything but then my stomach would start hurting real bad and it would force me to take my meds anyway just so I can get my stomach to calm down. Oh, that would make me sooo mad because I was trying to be good about it , you know and not over do it if I didn't have to. That's when I knew my body was the boss and not me. I knew I was in trouble and was going to have a lot of problems for here on out and I did. I still have the same problems to this day but am taking a longer acting opiate instead. But if I am late....you know, there goes my stomach. Have you found anything that will help yet? If you do please share. "

" Nexium helps (calms down the acid). Expensive so perhaps you can get some samples from your doc. Also, Imodium (with gas relief) helps. They can be broken in half (large tablets). They are the brand name (kind of smell like Vanilla). Take a half or so before your meds run out. Should help. "
