How to exit a PM's office and start a new

I'm on day 2 of my fentanyl patch and I'm miserable! Upset stomach, groggy, arm pain where the patch is placed, and pain is there worse then ever. They refuse to give me anything for breakthru pain so I have nothing to take as of right now. I called there office today and left a message stating all of the above and never got a call back today. I'm still scratching my head as to why they didn't want to continue me on the original oxy treatment plan. 30mg's is way to much I guess. My chiropractor and boss was perplexed as well he offered to call this PM doctor and tell them how much more productive I was at work and how I wasn't in any pain. Not sure if I will have him do that yet. He gave me the name of another PM doctor in my area and offered to call this doctor and tell him what's been going on. Of course I need a referral from my PCP in order to be seen by this doctor because they make recommendations for treatment plans only. So I called my PCP and left her a message asking her to call me so I could ask her. I just don't feel good about my current PM doc and I'm very frustrated with them. How do I exit from one PM and start another? I have no idea what to do. I'm gonna give my patches back to my current PM doctor before leaving. Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks : )

" Hello Friends ~

Kmiller, how are you going to make it through the weekend without any pain meds? Would you be able to have your boss call and talk to your PM doctor about your productivity? Do you have a GP you could go to just to get something to get you through the weekend?

I am so sorry the Methadone made you feel ill, I know when I first started taking it I felt lousy the first few days but it did go away within a matter of days, do you think you could stay on it at least for the weekend until you can get something figured out on Monday? I just hate to think of you in pain all weekend, it just is not right!!

" My boss was out today (lucky duck). He's gonna write a letter to this PM doctor telling him how much more productive I was at work and how for the first time ever, I wasn't limping around. This was when I was taking the Oxycontin of course. He's gonna put a call into another PM doc he knows personally and see if he can get me in next week. My GP doesn't want me to leave this other PM but I can't take much more or there drama. I'm suffering more now being with a PM then I was with my GP prescribing meds. Thats not the way it should be.. Should be the other way around. It can't get any worse only better at this point. Not all PM's are bad. Thanks everyone for all your support. You guys are the best!!!!
Biggest hugs to all! "
