Since I have been on Gleevec I have had very teary eyes. I can be driving the car and suddenly tears are rolling down my face. Anyone else experienced this?

" Hi Lizy,

Yes, my husband experiences this and he has experienced this all the 7 years he has been on 400mg Gleevec. He calls it blurry eyes. It is a Gleevec fluid retention effect. The opthalmologist looked into his eyes and said he had chemosis which is fluid in the eye. The blurry eyes sometimes annoy him when he is driving. It comes and goes for him.

Best Wishes,
