My problem with Anemia

Since I started taking Gleevec 4 years ago my Hemoglobin reading has been low, therefore indicating that I am Anemic. My doctor has been treating me with shots of Procrit, happinly I am now on remission, but my Anemia persists. I would like to hear from other CML patients who had the same problem.

Hi! I was diagnosed with CML in FEB of 2009. I started taking Gleevec and am also Anemic. My doctor doesn't seem to concerned about it. The Gleevec has been working so far but I to worry about the Anemia too. I am always so tired. I just started to see a natural path. doctor. I am going to discuss this with her on my next visit. I'll let you know what I find out. Hope all is well.

I really don't have any advice just support to offer. I am anemic and have only been on Gleevec 3 weeks. It's frustrating especially the fatigue part. But..... you're not alone!
