Leg pain

I went to San Diego two weeks ago and ran around like a crazy woman. I was more active there than I am at home. While I was driving home to AZ, my legs started to bother me. Mainly my calf muscles. Since I've been home (about a week or so) the discomfort has not went away. The whole time I was driving I kept thinking it was a bloodclot. (I also have anxiety...that was a catastrophic thought). I have tried to stay off my feet and that alleviates the discomfort some. But as soon as I get up and start walking, it kicks in again. I don't know if my muscles are just really tired and overworked, or if this is the Gleevec. Has this happened to anyone else out there??

" I suffer from the same thing. It comes and goes. The same thing happens when I sit and then get up. I know mine is from the Gleevec. I also get charlie horses. It is terrible. I started drinkin 4 oz of coconut water a day. IT has more potassium than a banana. I see a natural path doc. and she recommended it. I hope this helps and you feel better soon. "

" My husband has muscle cramping from the Gleevec, especially when driving. His hands and fingers are affected rather than the feet. Our doc says that Gleevec can give muscle cramps and he prescribes calcium and magnesium tabs. Some Gleevec patients have gotten benefit from taking tonic water for muscle cramps.

" Thanks for your advice!! I am going to buy some calcium and magnesium today. I have had the joint pain and some muscle soreness and cramping, but not like this and not for this long. I thought that it would disappate since I've been on it for nine months... I eat bananas everyday, but I will try some coconut water too!! Thanks again!!!! "
