" Hi Joybells, I confess after two and a half years I have yet to really get a grasp on the exhaustion. I am still working full time as I am a single mom with a child to support. And work seems to sap alot of my limited energy. I do try to plan my events and days accordingly. I get physical chores done early, I plan fun events on times I can get a full day off. I drink lots of powerade to keep my potassium up. And I prioritize, somethings just are not as important anymore. For example I have someone else mow the lawn, my house doesn't get cleaned every day, etc. I try to listen to my body and get a good nights rest, and not overdue things to much. I did try several drugs like Ritalin and Provigil but they did not seem to help. Mostly I have tried to just keep a good attitude and make the most of what I can do. Hugs, Jayne "

" I have been on Gleevec for 6 months, and I agree, I think you just have to learn to do things in moderation. I get irritated with the tired feeling, but I have also learned that when I feel good, I can't overdo the physical activity or I pay for it afterward. For me, getting consisten mild-moderate exercise daily and eating frequent small meals seems to help regulate the fatigue & keep it to a minimum. It seems to better than it was months ago, so I'm hoping this trend continues. Taking my Gleevec with mey evening meal vs. in the morning seems to help as well.
Good luck to you. "

" I had a BMT 10 years ago and unfortuantly stil have fatigue. I have needed to pace myself and learn to do only so much. My husband has had to pitch in alot. There are just some things that I don't worry about getting done if I am too tired. Prioritzing is key. I wish you luck. "

" At first you are tired and think you should rest most of the time. Then I realized the more I did the better I felt. I don't feel completely wore out anymore. I just get up and go and try to live my life the way I used to. Everyone is different tho....could be the pills, who knows? "
