Hello, I just joined this group today. My mom has CLL and has been diagnosed since 2001. She has just started IV Chemo and after the 1st course -she has a hemoglobin level that is too low to administer the 2nd course. I'm writing to find out if anyone has had a similar outcome.

I spoke with some people I know who have had chemo and they said that she would probably have to wait until her levels go back up to a place where they feel it's ok to give her the second, third or how ever many courses is appropriate. How is she doing now?

you might consider posting on the www.cllforum.com -- alot of savy CLLers there, some have dealt with the anemia, not an uncommon condition with CLL.
