" I am a nurse dx with cll (b cell0 about 1.5 yrs ago.If you are asymptomatic, (if you have no pain) then you need no treatment with this disease. They do not treat the numbers. I repeat no pain or problems not treatment "

" Perhaps when the consultants say you are fine, perhaps they mean your disease progress is stable. CLL is a chronic disease. You can have variations in your counts, but if they remain within a certain range, the doctors say you are o.k. "

" I have CLL and am currently on my 5th of 6 treatment cycles of FCR. The decision to treat or to "watch and wait" is up the the hematologist/oncologist. You hopefully are being treated by a doctor who is both, and who has experience treating CLL. I do know that they need a "blood flow cytometry" test, a lymph node biopsy, a ct scan and a bone marrow biopsy to see what is really going on with your condition. There are different types of CLL so there is no one answer for everyone.
Good luck and God bless. "
