Hi all, had the swine flu vacination on friday i have to admit i was very scared and read a lot but my doctors said i had to get it, so i did and im happy to say, not to many side effects, i had a headache almost immediately and i was very tired but not more than usual.

thats the problem with retroviruses... its like your stuck in a catch 22... HIV for instance... Vitamin D causes CD4 cells to proliferate... a good thing... but it can temporarily raise the viral load in monocytes... so they aren't completely sure if you should take vit d supplements.... so far research seems to show the benefits far outweigh the consequences, but there are those that can raise legitimate concerns.

just had the h1n1 vaccine about three hours ago. our city is doing weekend clinics at the high schools and they were very nice. they asked me some questions... i didn't need id, i just told them I had asthma and chronic fatigue syndrome. they gave me the one you give to babies... very gentle i suppose.
hope everyone else is having an ok experience with it.

Do NOT get all hysterical people get your flu shots=2 types it is a do
the flu & H1N1 or possible quick death from either flues esp. Immune Deficient people like us !!!!! One child died in two days here So how do you want to die Not getting flu shots is risky for us!!!!!!

we just got word today that my neice who's pregant came down with the swine flu..I'm not getting the shot or the one for the flu..seems like when i get the flu shot i always end up in the hosp..

well the flu vaccine was find until the evening... istarted shivering and thought i was coming down with a fever. i immediately went to sleep and the next day woke up feeling better than average. i think i had a reaction because i did my graded exercise therapy the day before AND i did a lot of walking after i got the vaccine. i had been feeling really tired and i think i just pushed too much. i was fine after the rest.

Thanks yall for posting this! Our area just got the shots in this week for people with chronic conditions, and I read through your comments (after I had done lots of research too!) to reassure myself before getting it. Surprisingly enough, I've had a little more energy than usual the past few days. Probably not because of the shot, haha, but at least I haven't had any negative side effects.

@tweety I hope your niece has a quick recovery!
I got the H1N1 shot on Thursday, it was less painful than the seasonal flu shot. I was a little extra tired for about a day but otherwise no problem.
