From: http://www.hhs.gov/advcomcfs/

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Advisory Committee (CFSAC)
The Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Advisory Committee (CFSAC) provides advice and recommendations to the Secretary of Health and Human Services via the Assistant Secretary for Health of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services on issues related to chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). These include:

factors affecting access and care for persons with CFS;

the science and definition of CFS; and

broader public health, clinical, research and educational issues related to CFS.

As of November 1 2008, administrative and management support for CFSAC activities will be provided by the Office on Women's Health (OWH). OWH is a program office within the Office of Public Health and Science (OPHS), Office of the Secretary. As a result of this assignment designation, Dr. Wanda K. Jones, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Health (Women's Health) will assume responsibility as the designated Federal officer for CFSAC. More information on this action can be found under Notices. "

" It's always wonderful to see someone speaking before a wide audience about CFS/ME, with good scientific evidence! This XMRV finding is shooting us up the ladder to recognition!!

Annette did a very good job in validating us all, especially where pshychiatrists are concerned!! This illnes is not nor ever was in our heads!! I love it when that validation comes along in a speech like this one.

Thank you Annette! "
