GOD HAS KEPT ME HERE FOR A REASON

God Has Kept Me Here For A Reason Repeat after me: God has kept me here for a reason. I survived because He has a plan for me. All my bad relationships, the addictions, the consequences, the bad credit, the repossessions, the death of my loved ones, the back stabbing from my friends, the negative thoughts, or the lack of support; I made it because I am Blessed! I release and let go of all past hurts, misunderstandings and grudges because I am abundantly Blessed! I recognize them as the illusions they are, and sent from the enemy to kill my spirit, steal my joy, and destroy my faith; For God is all there is. All else is a lie! Now give yourself a hug, wipe your tears away and walk in victory!!! I love you, but more appropriately God loves you BEST! Now since you are a true child of God, you know that with every Blessing, a Blessing is required! So be a Blessing to another, by passing this on. Be Blessed 'The Will of GOD will never take you where the GRACE of GOD will not protect you.'

Thank You. I'm printing this out and keeping it where I can look at it often.
Sending Hugs and Prayers

I agree even though sometimes it is so hard to remember that. I know that Satan wants nothing more then to have me give up and join his crew. Not going to happen becauseGod is stronger than him and I am God child.
Thank you for helping remember that, it has been pretty rough around here and I neede that. Guess God knew it too huh?

I'm glad that you've found strength in your beliefs, cmeiam (and others), but can we please NOT turn this into a religious forum? Some of us do not share your viewpoint.
In return, I'll avoid airing my views on abortion, gay marriage, the war in Iraq, the Obama administration, or anything else that distracts us from the main topic. Thanks, Jeb

maryca: As I said: I respect your "choice" (as you say) to find things that help you cope. In fact, one of the main purposes of this site is to share with each other the things that work. So, good for you. (Chocolate and The Simpsons seems to help me.)
But there's a big difference between a simple statement like "I find strength in God and prayer" and the fanatical ranting that initiatied this discussion thread. This site is a support group for people with CFS, not a tent revival meeting. We all feel passionate about something, sure, and we can get emotional, but I don't want to be hectored, do you? Jeb

I guess we see things differently. I don't see fanatical ranting. I see a prayer that says I'm going to let go of all past hurts and the list is things that could happen to any one it's just a list and that God will be there when I need him. As for the line about the enemy I see this as the illness.
I'm just stating that God helps alot of us and those that choose to have God help them thru this illness have a right to talk about him just like others talk about what helps them. If Chocolate and The Simpsons help you that's great. I use comfort foods and TV too.

Don't read it if you don't like it. That's my motto. There have been posts on here that have used swear words, etc. that I found offensive so I just didn't continue with the thread. It's that easy. It's a simple tap on the computer keyboard OR mouse to slip away from something you're not interested in. There may be something of a spiritual nature that is exactly what someone needs to hold on another day. I say that because my daughter's best friend just went through the experience of having her 16-year-old cousin commit suicide.
Let those who need support get it from those who share similar views. We all NEED to help each other and we can spend time on posts that are most helpful to our individual needs. Thought I'd jump in with my opinion. I wouldn't come to this site if all it had was a bunch of medical info. I can find that on my own. I come for the support. carry on.

P.S. Hope I didn't sound to mean, Jeb. Just sharing my opinion. I have some other logical arguments, etc. but decided they JUST DON'T MATTER. Besides, I'm too tired. My point is that I like the way you made your point and it would be interesting to keep going back and forth (enjoy the challenge), but too tired.

I am an atheist. When I read the original posting to this though, I found nothing wrong with it... It was hardly offensive or out of place. I was just happy to see someone using their beliefs and understanding of their world to deal with their difficulties. This is supposed to be a forum where people use their own words and their own inclinations to deal with and transform the awful medical and personal things they are going through. Kudos to CMEIAN and others for finding something that works for them.
Being an atheist doesn't mean you have to tune everything else out. I also agree that I have seen other stuff on the forums that is very negative/agressive ... Can't you all just be happy that someone who was having difficulty has found a bright spot in their day? Isn't that what this forum is here for? As for the comment about turning this into a religious forum...did you know that religion is actually an impossible term to define? You can't say you want to remove religion from the forum, without yourself imposing a definition of religion onto the forum.
