I have aching muscles with my CFS. My reading about it has taken me to begining to understand the role of mitochondria.
Prof. Garth L. Nicolson of the Institute for Molecular Medicine (Huntington Beach California) has written about the role of mitochondria. Some of his articles are available at; http://www.immed.org/illness/treat... Its good stuff Prof. Garth L. My muscles ache horribly, especially my thighs and my shoulders. My rheumy actually told me this was a condition called Polymyalgia Rheumatica, where the pain is concentrated in the thighs and shoulders. It is quite painfull all the time, but I am trying to begin an exercise regimen where I will be working these muscles and stretching them for some relief.
Walking is a killer. My muscles scream. Trying to make this better. Advil takes the edge off. I do believe that aching joints and muscles are a problem with most of us!!

This is why im not dx with CFS,cause the two,ms and CFS are so much alike. thanks,im gonna check this out. while reserching CFS,I noticed I have 5 of the 8 signs. But like i said, cfs mimics ms,so I might being fighting a loosing battle here.

OOOOOO yeah ... it's not as bad as it was earlier but sometimes the ONLY relief I could get was in a hot bath. My thigh muscles can KILL at times!

Yes, achy muscles....been a daily thing for 25 plus years....the only thing that differs is sometimes it is light and sometimes it is intense but I can always count on it being there.

I have fibromyagia - which causes your muscles to tighten up (become knotted) and remain in this state, which affects your joints by making them stiff, along with CFS. I appreciate the info and will look into it.

Oh yeah, it's hard to use them sometimes, but I just pace myself.
