Everytime I am so run down with the CFS I notice I get sores on my tongue as if I bit it but didn't. Does anyone else get them? How do you make the darn things go away?

I get mouth sores, canker sores. I bought a mouthwash with an antiseptic in it Oragel. It is supposed to help with gum & cheek irritation, and sores. You might try this.

Is this part of CFS? Ever since I was little any time I would become worn down I got these. The doctor said because it isn't a virus to try over the counter immune boosters like Lysine. Have you ever tried or heard of Lysine vitamin?

When you have a bad CFS crash you will become more sensitive to things. You could be allergic to something in your toothpaste or even something your eating. You could also be biting your tongue in your sleep and not even know it, hormones and vitamin deficiencies can make them too. When ever I get a sore I put a zinc vitamin pill on it but I don't recommended doing it on your tongue unless you want to feel crazy bad pain. If the zinc gets left on it too long it will raise the taste buds and its feels like your tongue has cactus or something on it but the sore usually goes away the next day. The tongue is one of the fastest healing parts of our bodies so unless there is something continuing to cause it distress then your tongue should heal pretty fast.

I get them alot, almost constantly actually, I think it's a combination of my body not knowing where other parts of it are in relation to itself, and other things, so it means I bite my mouth often, and how run down my body is, it's like why my lips are always dry, body doesn't have to resources to keep them healthy, it only ever used to happen when I got a cold. Bonjela is good for the pain.

I always rinse my mouth out w/a combination of 50% hydrogen peroxide and 50% water. It's inexpensive and VERY effective. I had seizures as a child and for some odd reason the pediatric neurologist had my mom tell me to do this. I've done it ever since and have pretty good oral health!

I get them too, saw an oral surgeon and was told to gently brush them, yes it hurts, and I use oragel for the pain and biotene is the one product I found that actually helps with the healing.

Daraerin - its an amino acid and it can help it is called L-Lysine. you can find it at about any health food store. I do not remember the dosage though but I think it is 500-1000mg a day.
rinsing with salt water also helps.

I have them, too, so maybe it's a common CFS symptom. Never realized it until now.
Hey, I use a toothepaste now called Verve. It's made with something that does not irritate your canker sores and also helps heal/prevent them. I've been using it for almost a year now. Look it up on-line; it's not very expensive.

I get sores in my mouth, swollen gums and sores down under. They come and go and no one knows where they come from.
