  • On my way to the  Children's Garden, I crossed a little bridge besides a wooded pond.
    It was very peaceful there.
As I walked through the garden I spotted some pretty little butterflie's and I started trying to get some pictures of them. I managed to catch this one atop a flower.
This garden had many lovley flowers, but I found this one especially interesting so I took it's pi...

  • Still I Rise...

    Wednesday, April 23, 2008

Still I Rise by Maya Angelou
You may write me down in history
    With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I'll rise.
    Does my sassiness upset you?
Why are you beset with gloom?
'Cause I walk like I've got oil wells
    Pumping in my living room.
Just like moons and like suns,
    With the certainty of tides,
    Just like hopes springing high,
    Still I'll rise.
    Did...

  • I love to go to the zoo...

    Sunday, August 23, 2009

One of the most enjoyable day trips I love to take is to grab my digital camera
and go to the zoo.  These pictures I took over this past weekend at the
    Point Defiance Zoo.
Imagine my surprise when I looked at the photo and saw what I
snapped. I just love this picture.
Another great picture that happened by accident. I love the expression
of the girl looking at this moon jelly fish.
    The Octopus wa...

  • Perfectly Imbalanced...

    Thursday, February 5, 2009 | A Poem/Artistic story

    Perfectly Imbalanced
    I'm a lover and I'm a fighter
I'm conservative, but I'm liberal too
I will agree & disagree with you
    Sometimes hot, sometimes cold
    Never young, never old
    Perfectly Imbalanced
    in so many ways
happiness and sadness on my face
found in the nights, lost in the days
    there are dreams I chase
I'm in a perfectly imbalanced place
Things are black, others are white
    somtimes...

  • End of Mankind...

    Saturday, January 31, 2009 | A Poem/Artistic story

    End of Mankind
    We don't care
    we don't share
    It's all about greed
    instead of need
    The media lies
    it's satan's disguise
    I'm tellin ya friend
    it's gonna be the end
    Time for destruction
    end of mankind
    You can't fathom
what goes on in my mind
    Get your bibles out tonight
    hold your loved ones tight
    Where will you be
when he comes looking for thee
    Another president
    in a long line
    Bought by ...

  • So I Wait

    Monday, February 23, 2009 | A Poem/Artistic story

THIS IS ALSO VIEWABLE IN MY PICTURES WITH IT'S BACKGROUND
I sit as best I can, waiting....always waiting.
Will my body and mind work today or not?
Will my symptoms deteriorate, remain, or go?
I sit as best I can, waiting....always waiting.
I am so tired.  I just want to go home, no more waiting.
Yet, wait, I must.  Loved ones need me.
Further, I can't bear the pain the...

  • Angel Wings and Butterflies...

    Friday, September 26, 2008 | A Poem/Artistic story

    Angel Wings and Butterflies
Spread your Angel wings and fly through the skies
Dance swiftly across the earth like butterflies
Keep giving tenderness to the lives you touch
Who knew one special soul could do so much
My heart is weak and on the mend
But in you I’ve found a friend
Whose guidance will help me to new limits and reach the skies
You make me melt with those pouty lips and puppy dog eyes
    Whe...

  • A Borrowed Poem "A Strong Woman..."

    Wednesday, August 13, 2008 | A Poem/Artistic story

A strong woman versus a woman of strength
A strong woman works out every day
to keep her body in shape
but a woman of strength looks deep inside
to keep her soul in shape
    A strong woman isn't afraid
    of anything
but a woman of strength shows courage
in the midst of her fear
A strong woman won't let anyone
    get the best of her
but a woman of strength gives the best
    of her to everyone
    A strong woman ...
