I while back, I read here that there had been success with doses of vitamin C. I started taking 1000 mil a day, and I DO feel much better. Not as much fatigue, my glands have not been getting as swollen, and more. I am elated!!!!! Anyone else try vit. C?

" Naturegirl, in response to your experience with vitamin C, I have tried it but you can probably take more than that. A noted scientist linus pauling says that you should increase until you get diarrhea, then cut back to the amount you took just before you got the diarrhea, that is your threshold. The reason it helps is b/c it is an anti-inflammatory, omega 3 fatty acids are also very anti-inflammatory, I have a lot of luck with that. If you have a lot of fatigue you can try Co-q-10 (Q-gel) is the best kind, it is kind of expensive, 30mg, 60 count can run you $25-30. I personally think that alot of these syndromes are due to heavy metal and other toxic build up in the body, so a good detox for these things will really help you. Make sure your amalgam fillings are removed at some point by a dentist who specializes. Anyway I could go on all day!! Let me know if anything helps you!! "

" Hi Naturegirl & Sabrirn,

I wholeheartly agree with you Sabrirn. I have been on the Women to Women nutritional supplements for about four months. I am also doing chelating using Extended Life formulars. I now have some good days. Because I know the source of my disease (infiltration disease from a biopsy clip containing nickel) I know what I need to do. I have found in my research that vitamin C is a powerful chelating agent. I'm hoping something gets this alful stuff out of my organs and tissue as I am high risk for cancer and nickel is a known carcinogen. By the way I have Secondary Adrenal Insufficiency but thought I had CFS for five years. I believe they are one in the same. Now that I recognize when my cortisol is low and I can go into adrenal crisis I now know this is what was happening to me all along. So say my cortisol was a 12 (which is a normal reading) but I needed a 20 for my current needs I would become extremely fatigued. I believe this is what happens. "

" Hi Naturegirl, I have just started taking 500mg of Vit C twice daily as I heard it helps with ME/CFS. I know your body doesn,t store Vit C but think you are better taking a 500mg a few times a day rather than the 1000mg just once a day. Will give it a try anyway. Glad you are feeling better with it. Also Glucosamine Gel from Holland & Barratt is great for the muscle & joint pain. Its on offer just now at £2.90 and you feel it working in under 2 minutes!! Amazing stuff I wouldn,t be without now!
