sounds almost like what im going through with my wife right now she is all messed up so bad that the dcs has a report on here and a open case and told her to get help but she never did now she left with my three daughters and went to the next county north from here because she knows dcs cant go to that county so i filed a petition for custody for my kids but it will be jan 2010 before the court will hear it i dont know what to do havent been able to talk to my kids but twice and my oldest daughter ont talk to me thats after telling the dcs worker she wanted to live with me and go to
school here my lawyer told me i didnt have to let the kids go with here but last time she left she went to the next county and filed a false police report sying i tired to kill her and stabbed her in the arm so they issued a warrant for me the same night and i got arrested and spent 12 hours in
jail and a 5000 dollar bail so while i was in
jail my parents had the kids she came to there house with the police at 3 am and got the kids out of bed and took them while i was in
jail the charges was dropped after three months im so worried about my kids she is abusing precription drugs and lso mentally unstable my oldest girl i adopted her 5 years ago and now i found out my wife is letting her talk to her real father which he jut got out of
prison and is also on drugs then she is living with her parents which her dad is a major drunk always drinking beer and also he has molested some of his daughters when they was growing up but dont have no papers to prove it but she dont care all the while dcs knows this but they allow her to keep them it is so screwed up i dont know what to do i have been trying to call my lawyer but he is always in court never calls back the last time i talked to him he was trying to see what he could do to move the court date up sooner that was two weeks ago he told me to talk to dcs and they should beable to help me by going to the courts and tell them whats going on but when i asked the case worker about that she said it was in the courts hands and they couldnt help sorry about all this rambling im doing but i have to get it out if not i will go crazy this is only part of the problem

wow..It is always heartbreaking to hear about kids that are put in the middle like this. Even if it is no fault of your own that they are, the system (while trying to "help") does seem to put them there.
