My grandson will be starting chemo next week. My daughter says they are going to give him fluorouracil in 24 hour infusions for 4 days a week every three weeks. I am a little confused as I have never experienced this kind of thing. Does this mean he will be in the hospital for 4 days a week with a continuous IV? She said this was an 18 week treatment. Thank you for any information you can give.
