When should my Mum begin to feel ill?

Hi, my lovely Mum has just started with EC chemo (last Friday) for breast cancer and so far, touch wood, is feeling ok - no sickness and no lethargy as yet (she shopped, cleaned the house and cooked a full roast dinner on Sunday!). She's pretty upbeat and I suspect thinks she's got away with it but I'm wondering at what point will she begin to feel ill/unwell. They told us that from day 10 onwards she will feel the worst.

Can anyone give me a rough breakdown as to when and how the immune system will deteriorate. I fully realise that each case is individual.

Many thanks.

" As you say everyone is individual. The best idea we have found with my mum is to take things easy and get used to the pattern of the chemo. For my mum she is strangely OK right after for a few days, then the next week is the hardest and she is very tired, then she begins to recover before the next treatment, so day 10 is about right.

As for the immune system the best thing is to take as many precautions as you can from day 1. Have everyone wash their hands, keep anti bac soap by the sink and hand gel around the house. If any of you has any small illness stay away til you are better. My mum wears gloves when out as well, she has some lacy ones for summer. "
