Has anyone experienced having a nerve Biopsy? Doctor is telling us it will tell us for sure if it is CMT- already in a wheel chair and the damn Docs still won
t say if this is CMT.

" Hi, I went through testing in Houston with Dr. Harati, who is well known in neuropathy. This was in 1999, but they too told me the biopsy was the only way to tell. They take out a piece of a large nerve in the side of the foot, which will leave numbness below it, but it doesn't control any movement. It is apparently an easy outpatient procedure, although I elected not to have it done. "
