" I remember well when I was told this and how scared and devastated I was. That was in 1985 when I was 48. I was diagnosed with invasive cervical cancer and am a survivor! One step at a time now. Keep all appointments and follow through with recommended treatment. If you haven't already, you will be referred to a GYN oncologist who will give you your options for treatment, depending on the staging of the cancer. There is light at the end of the tunnel! Take good care of special you. God bless. Hugs, Pat "

" Hugs to you, Bigsbytwo.

You are definitely not alone here. There are many survivors here who have been through exactly what you are going through (myself included).

I echo QueenieEJC's words as I had to go through those same steps just last month. The waiting is always the worst part but luckily cervical cancer has a very high cure rate and is typically slow moving. Once you're in the hands of a Gyn Oncologist, you will have the knowledge of knowing exactly what treatment you will need.

Take the time to cry and nurture yourself. We are always here to help.

Kelley "
