Just a reminder to all of you that have just had a hysterectomy, complications may follow and it does not always mean you have a recurrence. Last week I had some spotting after intimacy. I had a radical hysterectomy on 8/20/09, so I have no reason to be spotting. I was really worried, since bleeding and discharge were my two symptoms of cervical cancer. I called my Gyn Oncologist and they said probably just hormonal, nothing to worry about. Unfortunately I am suffering from post traumatic stress disorder from my cancer diagnosis, so I worry about everything. I had an appt. with my regular gyn Tuesday and she did an exam and saw some "tissue" at the top of my vaginal cuff. She said it was probably granulation tissue, but sent it off for a biopsy just to be sure. Test results are in and it was just as she said. =) Have a great weekend, I know I will!

" That is wonderful news. I am so happy that you had good news. I can completely understand your fear and worries. And I thank you, having just had a hysterectomy, it does help me (and others, I'm sure) to know that things can happen and that they are normal.

Many blessings to you and your continued health. :) "

" Hello,
Yes still dealing with anxiety and PTSD. I have not had anyone make cruel remarks to me about anything relating to my cancer. My anxiety is related to cancer recurrence. I know it is more likely not to have a recurrence, but sometimes it is harder to convince myself of that reality. I just keep reminding myself that God is good and will take care of me no matter what! God Bless you all!!! "
