Bleeding 5 weeks after LEEP

I have had my follow up appointment since my LEEP and the doctor didn't seem concerned but at the same time he said I shouldn't still be bleeding this long. So, I wanted to ask...has any of you had the same thing? I am still bleeding and it has been 5 weeks since my LEEP! Some days it is as heavy as a period but I am on Birth Control. Any insight??? Thanks in advance!

Hmmmm....that doesn't seem normal. I think there's spotting after a LEEP for maybe a day or two. I know everyone can be different, but still. I'd talk to your doc again and insist on a real answer/help. Take care.

I am going to call the doctors office tomorrow definitely! I can't believe it has been 5 weeks! He put me on antibiotics a few weeks ago to clear up any possible infection, but he ruled that out as a cause during my follow up. Thanks for responding.
