Like all of you I have a story, so here is mine.
Ok for about a year now I have experinced light spotting between periods. I haven't gone to the doctor abut it because I'm scared. To be honest it hurts, I can't loosen up it it near impossible for me to relax thus the the doctor can't even do the exam. The first time (a year ago) she tried and I nearly passed out because I was so tence. I'm scared that I might have cevical cancer I'm afaid of the pain of going to the doctor. In fact I can't even write this becuase I'm shaking and can't even gather my thoughts. Here are my symptoms I have light spotting between periods and I get this clear mucus like discharge and my period has gotten lighter. When I do get my period the first day i have a small amout of brown blood. Your symptoms don't sound like anything to be overly worried about but what is to be worried about is not having a pap. It is your only line of defense toward early detection of problems and early detection can make a world of difference. Paps shouldn't hurt too bad but do whatever you can to get through it. Different Dr your more comfortable with, bring someone close to you with you, ativan, Idk anything but it is sooooo important that you get regular paps. Good luck

Totally agree!
But I promise It's better to go now before it's to late. Trust me i'm the biggest coward you'll ever come across with, just so you understand how bad it is I've never had a shot in my life nor a single vaccine since I was a pre-teen and I could hit the poor doctors a bit harder :S. I've only had a single blood test in my life but I was surrounded/restrained by 5 nurses... Anyway, my point is you should do it. I already did and I got diagnosed with high risk HPV and It did't hurt at all. It is awful and scary but there are some things you could do like taking a pain killer (I took 2 advils) before the appointment just in case or something to relax. Ask your doctor If they can help, it's always easier for them if you are relaxed. good luck! just try not to think about it so much and the sooner the better :)
