is it common to get cervical cancer when they tell you that u have hpv that can lead to cancer

i just got the news this past monday n im still not too sure the doctor said to come back in a year ?????

" Before you go to the gynecologist, I would suggest your making a list of your questions. Also, I would take someone along with you to listen to what the doctor says because because, when one is anxious or nervous, it's easy to forget what you wanted to ask and also hard to take in all that's being said. If the doctor gives you answers you don't understand, ask that they be repeated in simpler terms too. All the best to you. Let us know how it goes. We care. "
