Symptoms, Signs Dr. says Cervical cancer...

Hey everyone, Last Monday I went to the doctor because I have been having my period every two weeks, Maniacal back pain, discharge and bleeding during sex. I went to the Doctor expecting her to say it might be the cyst Ive had for three years hemoraging. Instead she bluntly said I think you may have cervical cancer, after she did a pap and I began bleeding.
I am in total shock. I know this is my fault for failing to get paps since 2001. BUT I just thought, no symptoms, no worries. Lesson learned.

I have a transvaginal & intestinal ultra sound scheduled for wednesday as well as some blood tests. I also have Crohn's disease. Anyone? I feel like since I have all these symptoms, I def have cancer and I really scared......

" I won't deny that it's scary, but I'm glad you've got your tests scheduled soon and don't have to wait too long to find out what you're dealing with. Once you know, you'll be able to take back some control as you and your doctors plan for what lies ahead. If it will help you feel a little better, I am 23 years out from my invasive cervical cancer and treatment, and 14 years out from a recurrence. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Take care and let us know how everything turns out. There are good, strong women on this site who have dealt with so much, and we're willing to listen and help. "

" Queenie is absolutely right! I went through a similar experience a few months ago. Unfortunately, I was diagonosed with cervical cancer. The positive thing is that cervical cancer is treatable. Hang in there and try to stay positive. "

" Thank you both. I had my test moved to this Friday, but I won't know anything until I see the Doc on September 14th. The hard thing is I have so many issues with my health I am afraid they won't know for while. The really difficult and scary thing is waiting and not knowing.

ps I hope I replied in the right spot :) "

" Yes, waiting is the worst! With more information, you'll gain a measure of control as you, with your doctors, plan your further care. "
