I wnet into deep depression with the hystorectomy and the now in ablilty to have children. and can't seem to get out of it no matter what. it looms. I am cancer free today which is a great thing.

Then there are the recurrent UTIs. this is frustrataing . it feels like everytime I turn around I have one.

Has anyone experienced this and did it resolve?

" I am so sorry u had to have a hysterectomy & r suffering w/ depression. My heart really goes out to you. Have u talked w/ your doc about the depresion? Meds may help or counseling. As far as the UTI - u should also see your doc & can get a med for that. Cranberry juice or pills can help & drinking plenty of fluids. I do hope u r feeling better soon. Hang in there,k. "

" It is a big possiblity that your depression is physical as well as emotional, if they removed your ovaries. which produces hormones and balances you out. You may need to look into hormone replacement therapy to help get you out of your depression. There are two different types of hormones, the synthetic ones made from the urine of a pregnant mare, or there are plant derived bio identical hormones. This could help with the depression. Also make it a point to excersice everyday, even if it is just to go for a walk. You must make yourself get our of your house. The fresh air and sunshine will help and get your blood moving and spark those endorphines that help with elevating the mood. My doctor told me that UTI's are also normal after your ovaries shut down because your body chemestry is changing and that UTI"s are a side effect. You are ok, just hang in and keep reaching out to get the help. Good luck "
