" I am going through the same thing. I found out I have cancer about a month ago. My sister is furious with me as well. I do have my reasons for not seeking help. MAybe your sister is scared and is in denial. I'm terrified. I don't know why she isn't getting help but I wish my family would put their arms around me and help me get through this because I'm paralyzed with fear. WHich hasn't happened...we are just no longer speaking to each other. Just a shot in the dark, but maybe she needs someone to get her through this. at any rate, you are in my thoughts and prayers. "

" I am so sorry u and she r going thru this. The thing is, you can't make her go - u can encourage her. Just be there for her. I hope & pray she does get medical treatment. Maybe showing her this site may help. It's so much easier to treat if u catch it early. I've been there. Hang in there w/ her. "

" Dear Haidey,

I don't know how old your sister is, but you may want to let her read this. I had cervical cancer at 37, I was scared, I lost my Dad to cancer when he was only 55.
So.. I automatically thought... I'm going to die at 37. My GYN. told after a series of tests and biopsy's that in his professional and personal opinon that he wanted me to go to a hospital that specializes in this area.
So I went 2 hours away.
It was the best thing I ever did, I live in Michigan and went to the University of Michigan. I saw Dr. Kevin Reynolds, he took like 2 hours with me.
Explained everything, come to find out HPV is a virus, and MEN are the carriers, however , men are not effected at all. (I'm not men bashing, this is the truth)
Well I wasn't going to let a MAN do me in...
I had the surgery, the even took out Lymoh Nodes for a safety percaution.
Dr. Reynolds talked to me about leaving my ovaries in or removing them, and he explained to me that cervical cancer and ovarian cancer are 2 very different cancers,
so I choose to keep my ovaries.
The surgery went great, and I am cancer free for 6 years now.
Please tell your sister to I'am praying for her, praying that she will change her mind, and will go to the Doctor. It's alot better than the alternative.
You are a GREAT sister, just hug her alot and tell her you Love her and that you will be with her every step of the way.
My Thoughts and Prayers are with you and your Sister.

Good luck
And God Bless

" you are not wrong for loving her and wanting what is best for her. I also can be stubborn, as for screaming, I wouldnt do that that might only cause hurt feelings, however, just patiently tell her how much you love her and dont want her to die from the cancer, in time, she will learn to accept it and get treatment! goodluck! i will pray for you both!
