what would happen if i chose against surgery?

ok i am sure you are going to think i'm crazy but here's my story...

i had surgery about a month ago to remove my gallbladder, have my tubes tied and also have a cervical conization. after the surgery my dr told me i have cancer and need a radical hysterectomy. the problem is i have 3 small children and no health insurance. i was able to have the other surgery because i was still on medicaid due to giving birth to my son a month before the surgery. long story short...i have no one, and i mean no one, to take care of my children while i am in the hospital and recovering at home. plus again i can't afford the surgery in the first place. sooo...what would happen if i just didn't have the surgery? the doctor didn't think it was cancer until he got the results back from the conization. and he said it is microinvasive but has reached the margin of the cervix. i know i must sound like the biggest loser who can't seem to make life work. =) my husband lost his job and our insurance and we still haven't seemed to get back on our feet. anyway just wondering if anyone has been in some sort of the same situation. thanks in advance.

" I hope that you will work toward finding a solution to this dilemma. Cancer left untreated will only worsen. It's important that you have prompt treatment. Perhaps the physician who did the conization will have some suggestions. All hospitals have social workers and, since you just had this procedure, why not call the Social Service Dept. at the hospital and explain your situation. Social workers have many resources to share and could probably help you with this. God bless. "

" I am so sorry u r going through all this. My heart goes out to you. Like Queenie said there may be some help u can get financially. If left untreated, well it is cancer, you won't be around to take care of your kiddos. Could you get medical assistance since your hubby is unemployed? Since he is unemployed can't he look after your kiddos while you recooperate? When you said you have no one at first I thought you meant you're a single mom. I hope something works out for you. "

" That Question about 'how slow'the cancer grows needs a pathology determination and consultation with a medical team. You may also Google 'Federal Health programs for OB/GYN-free Womens health funding. "
