Roughly 10 years ago I had an irregular pap and was diagnosed with cervical dysplashia. I underwent a LEEP and have had normal paps since. I have also had two more children. A month ago I had my annual visit. My doctor knew I wasn't going to have a normal pap just by viewing my cervix, but wanted to wait for the results. After the results came back, she performed a biopsy and decided at that point to schedule a LEEP for 9/30. As she said, its easier to cancel than schedule a procedure, so she didn't want to wait for the biopsy results. However, if my test comes back as cancer, it procedure will be canceled and I will be referred to an oncologist. Any thoughts?

Just wanted to update. Actually my doctors office called yesterday afternoon and asked me to come in this morning to get my biopsy results. I have never had a doctor have me come in for good news.

Hopefully you know more now w/ the results of the biopsy. Did the doc say anything about a colposcopy? Plz keep us updated,k. You're in my thoughts. Take care.
