" Hi and welcome! Yes, I've had a leep. My doc knocked me out so the procedure itself didn't hurt. I don't think it was more than 1/2 hour - but not sure as I was not awake. The nurse should give you a list of discharge instructions. She did give me tylenol afterwards. It's not that bad. Plz ask your doc tons of questions. I know I did. I write them down so I don't forget. You'll feel more comfortable going in that way. You're in my thoughts. You're not alone. Plz let us know how it goes when you can,k. Take care and hugs. "

" the doctor isnt going to knock me out, dont know why. lately i have been having problems with sinus infection and dizziness/off balance cause of my eustachion tubes not draining, i am on Z-pak and prednisone which make me more susceptible to infection and bleeding. i am considering getting the Leep done when I am over this problem I am dealing with now. The doctor told me 7 months ago, that I would probably have cancer in 5 months, its now 7 and i havent gotten any better, but not any worse either. i dont know. "

" I personally haven't had LEEP done, so can't give you any advice about the procedure, but I urge you to not put off your treatment. "

" I had a LEEP done 1 year ago in August. It didn't take long, but it was uncomfortable. I was given Ibuprofen 800 mg and that worked well. I reccomend you follow the advice and NOT do much lifting of anything for 6 weeks. I felt fine and started doing normal lifting and ended up causing bleeding again. Follow all aftercare advice and you should do fine. I went for my second 6 month check and it came back normal. This is devastating news at first, but surround yourself with positive people and you should come through it just fine. "
