Wednesday, April 23, 2008 | An Educational story

Just been taking one moment at a time lately.
Work is going well.  All caught up with my billing but now have issues with the network.  I am the only one not connected.  Andy pushed my credenza in my office too hard toward the wall when we were moving the file cabinets last Thursday.  I have to use his computer and his office to do anything.  Now I have decided to j...

There comes a time in all our lives when we may need to evaluate our relationships, making sure that they are having a positive effect on us, rather than dragging us down. Without realizing it, we may be spending precious time and energy engaging in friendships that let us down, rather than cultivating ones that support and nourish us along our path. Life, with its many twists, turns, and challen...

Know a few days ago I posted my struggle with my job and the "unfairness" of it all.  I am remaining in contact with my therapist via email when struggling and this was his response to my journal.... how true.. how true... the fallacy of fairness.
How very DBT your responses have become!  You are choosing responses
that may not "feel" good at first, in the same way tha...

Monday, January 26, 2009 | An Educational story

Disclaimer: I wrote this for a health class I was taking in 2008, but it gives a good snapshot of the current understanding about the disorder and how it changed my outlook on life.
It’s been some time since I last did any research on the disorder that so permanently changed my life. I found that the amount of data available online has greatly increased within the four years since my diagnos...
