" I'm fortunate to have a very mild case. My left side is affected and I have some weakness and a slight limp. My day to day living isn't affected all that much. It's fairly easy for me to compensate at work. Very few people even know I have cp. "

" Just do the best with what I have left! Yesterday, I did the Bisbee 1000 Stair Climb on crutches & flip-flops [best danged shoes I ever wore outside of the ones I was born with]. Turned out to be 1034 Steps in 9 flights [I could swear that 3 flights were the 'stairway to heaven'!]; course being 4.2 miles long with 500 ft climb. Hit the wall … er … stairwell railing before halfway through, got cramps in me feet & lower legs with me left leg going off on a frolic of its own, the right leg doing same couple of times; & dragged left leg up the last 4 flights. Stairs were the easiest for me, tho', with real problem with declines & inclines. Finished in a time of 2 hrs 14 mins & 23 secs—dead last! My girlfriend's son said: " She did last the whole way; the best first last anyone ever started."; which, had me ROFLMAO! Afterwards, whilst waiting for me ride back home, danced on the crutches; dancing muscles still worked! Best organised, best run, most beautiful event I ever attended. Want to do it again next year! " Hello my name is Brittany and I`m in a wheel chair with cp, i can`t walk by myself, i move, but my muscles tense up, and my speech is different, but I let God run the show. I have a big heart and I try to make the best of the situation. I have friends and family who love me a lot and help me when I need it. They try to understand. You have to remember God has a purpose for you no matter what. Sometimes it is really hard, but you have to be strong and keep going. Good luck to you! "
