" Jesus did exist but he has not been proven to be anything more than just a man. My posts have nothing to do abotu religion. I was and am still frustrated that i get replies and emails with the word God in them because i do not beleive. My posting here is to better understand and cope with the condition. i take absolutely no comfort in someone else telling me that its "God's will" or any of that. I hope in the future none of you choose to include him in any of the replies as that does not help me and actually makes me take your advice less seriously.

Chip.... i did get laid recently but thats beside the point. "

" Hey Chris I had email problems so I had to change my name but I am also pop35. Please read my previous post/reply below:

“I absolutely know God exists. My life is a testament of His existence. However, as an adult man with cp I don’t know why God permits disabilities.
Shockingly, cp has been a blessing. What was meant to be a curse has been a blessing in disguise. Because I know that cp has had a tremendous effect of my decisions. My choice to pursue higher education instead of quickly looking for labor intensive jobs and thereby obtaining good quality ego-fulfilling employment, which gave me the ability to purchase a decent home, marry a beautiful woman have 3 fantastic kids and live a wonderful life.
If it were not for cp I would have fornicated more than I did, possibly became a teenage parent like most of my friends, and derailed all my current blessings. Truly I believe without cp my life would have been extremely different.
I would love to have more balance, or a more normal gait, but I am not angry at God for if the cp was not there I know I would have missed all of the above. I may have been happy without cp, maybe been in a different place at a different time and married someone else, had 3 other kids, but I shutter to think of not enjoying my currently life.

I am sure you have something to be thankful for and things that you have accomplished that have nothing to do with cp. Yes, improve your overall functioning as others here have said, but also enjoy life as it comes and realize that cp just happens and is not a God-inflicted punishment or curse.

To add to this, I clearly have a limp and I’m sure that is what people notice first, but I have learned to provide the world with more than just CP to look at by having a well polished, well groomed overall appearance and charisma

I also workout as I know you do. Marriage has softened me-up but at 18 I was Mr. Muscles and had so many compliments and swooning little women. I had and have more than CP to focus on and as cool and comfortable as I was with myself other quickly noticed.

Don’t blame God or deny Him because things are not going well. Just continue to work hard to make the improvements I have read you are already doing. All your hard work will pay off. Channel any anger into your workouts and be open to new people who come into your life. "

" Hey Chris,

Read my entire previous post regardless of our different beliefs in God. Please. There may be something of value there. "

" bcas.... ive heard of the book but i find atheism just as preachy. No one can rule out God and no one can prove God exists. It would be narrow minded of me to say there is no God. When i was saying god doesnt exist im saying i dont believe any of those books out there based on god. If god does exist he sure as hell doesnt have a penis and he sure as hell doesnt share the old sexist views of mankind. Just because we are the smartest species on the planet doesnt mean we know everything. think about the concept of knowing everything. now think about the concept that our brains arent perfect and we dont have the capacity to know everything. It would be a stupid thing to say "i know god doesnt exist" just like it would be a stupid to say "i know god exists" and then preach because *insert something emotional*. its stupid. "

" Hey Chris

At least you are smart enough to realize that you don’t know everything. That is definitely a step in the right direction.

Apart from my religious beliefs, I don’t think you can disagree with my overall message of accentuating the positive and continual self improvements (you’re already doing it through body building).

We are all on the same journey dealing with CP, the world, and making our mark on life/planet/history. I joined this site to share my stories and experiences and hopefully in the process help other as they make that same journey.

So relax dude, we are all on your side, I know I am. "

" i had a limp and was made fun of in grade school about it. i learned to ignore those fools and just focus on being the awesome person i am. then i find people who are attracted to me easier. good luck, i know it's hard and i still have moments of self doubt. but just remember what makes you great to be around limp and all, and then others might respond more in a positive way. let the losers who comment sulk away! hugs "
