I am looked at differently because i limp. it doesnt seem like i ever get that good first "oh hes cute!" first impression. a limp is a very messed upthing to have. i feel as thopugh that is what im noticed first for the most. i feel as though my limp is sexually unappealing.

The other day my wife told me that the day we met she knew something was amiss,but she said the attitude i had made her not think about it and we talked as a "male and female" that wanted each other.

I guess you could call it a limp, but it more like a drunken stagger. wide gait, poor balance
to put it another way, there are some stores and shops I won't go in.

your making me mad. dude i like you and everything but your making me mad. listen to this. a limp is not that bad. try being in a wheelchair. try getting a realtionship going with a non chair user. I finally have one thank God. a limp is not that bad. you can do more than i can i bet. i have lots of friends with Cp with limps. sorry chris but ugh ohh. you have mild CP come on you can do this. you get frustrated to easy. dont feel like a feak. i will always be here for you. even though im mad at that comment. dont take this the wrong way please.

hi chris.. ive joined this group because i viewed a couple of your posts and was wondering if i could ask a couple of questions...my 11 month old son was on vent for 3 weeks of his life..he was born early.. anyway there was a blockaeg tht left him without oxygen for almost 10 minutes.. now, hes not reaching his milestones...hes not been diagnosed but reading your posts im hoping for some info and encouragement...his motor skills on his left are also slightly impared..this affects only his left hand, in which he reaches for things too soon or closes his hand too quickly before actually grasping anyting... do you mind me asking how it was for you as a child? when did you start walking etc...im feeling really low and would like some answers since i dont know wht to expect...he goes to PT and OT 2ice a week and tht seems to be helping in tht he reaches more with his left hand now than he did previously...but any insight as to wht to expect would be welcome..if im prying im sorry, or if you prefer to answer this using my email thts fine as well...hugs

I have mild cp. Trust me there are way worse things in life. Thank God for what you have been given rather than what you are missing. I just lost my grandma today from a battle with colon cancer. Trust me there are way more serious life changing things in life than CP. You are who you are just be thankful!!!!

"god" has nothing to do with cerebral palsy... in fact god has notihng to do with anything as "he" is a fictional being. yes there are worse things but considering i only had a 1 in 500 chance of being this screwed over i think its alrgiht for me to be negative about it.
