Bobbilea... I would also be very interested to get any opinions on HBOT myself. I am doing some research into some intensive therapy clinics in Utah and Florida and both offer this type of therapy. If you hear anything (good or bad), please let me know and I'll do the same! Thanks a million! Mary xoxoxox

I have been wondering about this a lot. I know that there hasn't been very many studies on it and the studies I have read about are very unclear as to the true outcome. My sister inlaw is a OT and did work with a child who did it and said that there were noticable results. I did read that the regenerative time for cells are only a few years so they recommend before age 6. Any info on results seen would be great.

My son has CP and his rehab doctor said not to bother with it for him. I know that most insurances won't cover it and it's very expensive. I saw a blurb on the news how in Europe it cost roughly pennies on the dollar yet here in the US it costs thousands of dollars for treatment. Very unfair. I too have heard about it's positive effects, but after my son's doctor said no, I haven't looked any further into it. Good luck to all who are still looking for answers!!!

I took my daughter in for HBOT before and is currently still going. I actually was lucky enough to find a place that is reasonably priced. It did help my lil girl. She had more energy and was able to walk for a longer period of time with much more "normal" gait. I noticed these changes in her after several hours of HBOT. If any of you have any questions then send me a message and I'll answer back. The only downside to HBOT is that when you stop going to treatment then you tend to fall back a few steps from where you had been improving on. If that made any sense. Well if any of you live out in southern CA then I can refer you to a place. It's about $80/hour, but if you buy advanced treatments by the bulk then it's about $70/hour treatment. They also from time to time have specials.
