Does anyone else get tremors/random muscle spasms?

I think this might be related to my CP because they only happen in my legs (I have spastic diplegia so my arms are affected very little, if at all). It seems like one muscle in my leg will "jump" for a few seconds, and then it goes away...but then the shaking moves down my legs, to a new spot. The spasms don't usually hurt, but they are annoying when I'm trying to concentrate on something or fall asleep.
Also, when I flex my ankle quickly, especially on my right foot (which is my worse side), it flexes and relaxes uncontrollably, over and over again, and sometimes cramps up. I notice, too, that when I try to abduct my knees (push them outwards), my whole leg shakes. Maybe this is related to muscle weakness or something, I don't know...my PT can't explain it...he said maybe it's a "mixed up signal" or something? One day earlier this year, my knees wouldn't stop shaking like this, even when I was just sitting or lying down. I took some magnesium and had a hot bath and the shaking subsided after about a day or so, but we were never able to explain why it happened. :/ It's not a huge problem or anything, but it can be bothersome at times, and it seems like it's been happening more lately. I was just curious if any of you have had similar experiences. Posted on 04/18/12, 01:14 pm |

you might want to also eat and drink differnt types of foods. for vitamins. arround about balance. of things with vitamin d, vitamin d, calcum, b12, iron, potasium. i to get muscle spasums and trimors first is always happy or mental thoughts. some time it is if they never go away. but i find round about balnce of foods that are (good for you) are keep them down. i go months with out worrie of them. they never go away but with these types of things like a good steak or chicken dinners(iron) if vegitarian (oats or potatos) are good for that. bannannas (potassium) milk(vitaman d and calcum) with a little cacolate is good. carroits and green beans with butter. of coarse not everone wants to eat while they have these mucle pains that some to never stop and happen at werid times. but use your suplemeny guides in the grocery store or were you shop and what you find are that we a surrounded with tons of herbal, food and drinks. that with a little addive here and there will taste great and sooth the pains.

I was told that I have them when I'm sleeping. I have gone for a sleep study but haven't gotten the results yet. I'll let you know what the Dr says.
