" AFO's are those braces thing right? its supposed to help you walk better. It can help prevent joint damage if i recall correctly. I used one a year ago or so to tryand better my limp but i gave up on it for some reason... i should try it again. do not buy one that isnt easily customizable. measure your childs feet as percise as possible. " yes they are. they also prevent unnecessary sugerys like cutting the back of the heel, leg and hip. they have to customize them every time she grows, even just a little. they help her alot, ex: when we have her sit butterfly postiion, her knees won't tuch the ground, but when she has her AFO's on they do tuch the ground. also it keeps her legs and feet straight, instead of inward. so she can learn to walk correctly. you should try again, it's never to late. :) "

" I was able to remove the need for carpel-tunnel surgery/improved my coordination on my (cp) arm & hand by wearing a splint & i was 54 @ the time. It would be nice if they offered/made adjustable ones that could be fine-tuned as we grow or improve
God Bless "
