3 Musketeers

I recently added a few mainstream items to my diet, but suspect one might contain gluten in something like a "natural flavor" or an "artificial flavor".

I added 3 Musketeers, tic tacs, walnuts, and Planters dry roasted peanuts.

There are no gluten containing ingredients listed in any of the above. However, note that 3 Musketeers does not label rye or barley and uses flavorings. And while I can find references that it is gluten free, they are are all old references and usually just someone saying they are gluten free-no source. No offense, but I generally don't trust someone who says "must be gluten free because I feel fine after I eat it". I'm more trusting of people who say they checked with the manufacturer, and I can't seem to find anyone saying that about 3 Musketeers.

So-does anyone know for certain (from a reliable website or the manufacturer) that the above are gluten free (well, excepting the walnuts, of course. I suppose they could be coated in wheat to keep them from sticking together, but that'd be weird).

Thanks-really hope someone can help me as I'm feeling pretty ick.

" thanks shrinking, awesome to see that it IS GF after all, i know or knew at one time... that milky way and snickers had barley malt, and really thought that the inside of a 3-musketeers was the same stuff, only whipped to make it fluffy... so i haven't had one in decades - guess what i'm picking up for Halloween! we only have 1 kid young enough to trick or treat, so i'll pick up a couple of bags... lol "

" yep, milky way still has malted barley and wheat flour in the nougat, however, it looks as though snickers has made a change, i do not see malted barley on the ingredient list. the only questionable ingredient would have been hydrogenated oil, but it's soybean oil... it does not state on the page that snickers is GF, will contact and see what i can find out. " Cool! I don't know how you found it, but considering a bought a huge box of them, I'm pretty happy. (I did know Milky Way had barley and knew Snickers is gluten free-I am an avid cyclists and often rely heavily on Snickers when I am "bonking" during a long ride-fortunately you can get them at any gas station).

I also found Tic Tacs online (gluten free), but not the peanuts.

Does anyone know for sure if some of the mini bars (like the ones you get in big bags for Halloween) use different formulas, so some might not be gluten free whereas the full size ones are? Or is that sort of an "old wives tale"? "

" thanks so much everyone! I went to do marketing today, and I got a couple of snickers bars - already in the freezer, cuz that was always my favorite way to eat them! Also got a bag of 3 Musketeers! I've always indulged in a bit of chocolate, mostly dark... but this is going to be such a treat! "
