I'm new to this site. I'm waiting for my lab results to come back to see if I have celiac. I do have fibromyalgia, lyme, IBS and am lactose intolerant. I was wondering how many of you have a similar history?

" Hello!! I think that you will like it here. Yes, not only fibro., but for me, the actual diagnosis of Parkinson's Disease also. Since going gluten free 18 months ago, my symptoms are still going away. I agree with chensley, in that it may all be one disease. I know, for me it definitely is. I am able to eat small amounts of casein/lactose now, but it is a little too late for me. Mis-diagnosed for 55 years, I have osteo., and some residual nerve damage that will always remind me of the total stupidity of the medical system.

Do you know if the lab is competent to read the blood for Celiac Disease?

Glad to meet you, and you are not alone.

Debbie, in KY "

" I firmly believe my FM was caused by a combination of celiac and casein intolerance too. It seems that those of us with these kind of symptoms take a lot longer to heal. I have been gf for about a year and a half now and slowly the FM is improving. I hope you begin to notice a huge difference soon. Take care. "
