" No, the diet has not made me tired. I have 8 different illness' altogether so I should be tired, lol, but Im ok. I eat totally organic an gluten free. Must be something else or you haven't given your body long enough to heal. It takes 6-8 months to get back to normal. It is slow process, the healing. Just at 5 pm? That's funny, huh? Maybe someone here will know alot more than me. Good luck. "

" No, I don't get tired every day from the diet. I do have periods of fatigue from my Polymyositis, but not the diet. However, maybe your body is adjusting to the diet and working hard to heal itself. Also, some commercial GF products are high in sugar content, which could be causing a drop in your blood sugar levels, which might make you tired. Wish I knew more. "

" Quite opposite. I have more energy, sleep better (and less...now I am back to normal 6-8 hours and I feel good as oppose to 10-13 hours and waking up tired. "

" Is your iron normal? Anemia is very common. You may not be digesting it and might need an IV treatment for it. "

" YES! The diet makes me exhausted to the point I can't hold my eyes open. But I also have fibromyalgia, systemic yeast infection, bacterial infections, etc. So I don't know which is causing which. I am always tired, but not so exhausted I can't hold my eyes open for even a minute. And that has been how it is when I cut gluten out. (Worse when cut gluten and sugar). I would love to know how to battle this fatigue. I am not sure how my iron is now but we constantly have to check my ferritin levels. I went to a pain rehab program at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN in 2010 and they tested my ferritin for the first time. It was 1. They said they had never seen a level so low. I occasionally get iron infusions to help. The infusion before last is the first time my level actually went up and stayed a little higher (higher is still way below what they want). I hope with dietary changes I might be able to fix the problem a little more. I am also B12 deficient (take shots). I don't like red meat very much, so I need to look for vegetables high in iron. "

" Most likely you are healing now because your body has enough nutrition to heal muscle, bone and tendon damage caused by this disease. Oh, and healing the intestines.

It is like having major surgery and healing after. No one questions that.

The other possiblity is that your are finally able to rest. Whereas before your body was on high alert from malnutrition. The brain goes into flght or flight mode permanently when there is not enough food. "
