Initial body reaction to gluten-free diet

I have recently started to comply with a gluten-free diet. I have noticed my acne and rashes clearing up. I've noticed less pain in digestion and no more bloat and way less gas. I've lost 8lbs in 8 days....is this normal or should I be concerned? Any other initial reactions the body will undergo when going gluten free?

The weight loss should slow down as long as you are consuming a sufficient amount of calories from your food, Weight loss is normal, especially if you have been carrying around waste stuck in your system (causing the bloat, cramps, gas...) as that passes, you will shift weight. Maintain calories and it will balance.
The most significant changes you should experience over the next days to months is elevated mood and energy levels, a feeling of overall much better health, better concentration, better emotionally... Keep it up, it certainly is worth sticking with for a few more months just to see! I'm sure lots of folks here will have other thougts to add about their own experiences, so stay in touch! Peace!

I have been gluten free about 3 to 4 months and have lost 2 clothes sizes and about 20 pounds. I needed to lose that. My weight has rearranged. I am so happy about it.
I hope you keep feeling improved. Oleander
