My husband was diagnosed with celiac a year ago and couldn't eat any gluten with out getting really sick. A year latter now he eats gluten and says it doesn't make him feel sick or lose weight any more. But I am still worried that hes hurting him self by eating it. I was thinking of taking him to the doctor. Should I worry about it??

Celiac disease does not "go away". He still has it and is doing incredible damage to his intestines. He needs to stay diligently gluten-free.

The only way to "get better" is if he had Tropical Celiac which is viral not auto immune. Check with the doctor! If he has celiac, he will do serious damage to his body by eating gluten even without symptoms. That is called "silent celiac".

SuesDoggie is correct! If he had the viral version, it will go away but not the autoimmune version.
BTY, Suesdoggie, I notice that sometimes you have some trouble with your english. This seems to happen during the day when presumably a husband or other SO is away from you to translate. I mention this only because it can be daunting to try and order GF food in resturants when you don't have total command of the native language of the land (long or short visit). There is a place on the web that sells plastic coated cards telling all about celiac needs that you can take with you and show the wait staff. Since it is plastic coated, they can take it to the chef for you and it is easily wipped off when dirty. I do not have the web address handy. It should be easy to find doing a quick search. I will try to find it again for you if you want it. Just let me know by sending me a message. C
