I had my surgery on Dec. 6 and could see the next day. Saw the dr. on the 19th and he said it is healing fine and I should only need a mild prescription for reading. I have worn glasses for 46 yrs. and don't ever remember seeing anything clear for the 10 years before that. I had the implant done on my left eye and it is amazing what the world really looks like, even the dirty snow looks good. I have macular degeneration in the right eye, not age related, a gift from two neighbor boys hitting me with a baseball when I was five. I am just so thankful for the return of the sight that has been fuzzy for years. Rayeann

My cataracts didn't blur my vision nor reduce the vividness of colors. I just got tired of having to wear glasses. My nose just wasn't shaped for glasses, kept having to push them up. Surprise! After the first surgery, I noticed in the corrected eye, my computer screen was white, while in the still unoperated eye, it was beige. By changing my head position, I could change my screen from white to beige. The downside is that before the surgery, I had my kitchen counter top replaced with what I thought was beige, only to find out after the surgery, it was more of a greyish white. lol. So glad it was a laminate and not something more expensive.
