" I had surgery last Dec. and hope to have the other eye done before the end of the year. I was so scared and do not like anything close to my face. The surgery went so fast and there was no pain at all. They kept me sedated just enough to stay calm, but I listened to music and the dr. and staff talked to me and explained how it was going. I had the implant put in and went back the next day and had the bandage removed and could see. I still have to wear glasses with a slight prescription but can see to drive and watch tv without them. I highly recommend the surgery, it has been a god-send for me. Rayeann "

" Easiest surgery I ever had. Just a needle prick to put you out for a few minutes, then you're awake for the surgery. I was nervous at the first one, but I had the other eye done within 2 months. And it's worth it. I have 20/20 in my left eye and 20/30 in my right eye. Only use cheap Walmart glasses to read and work on the computer. "

" I had my right eye done in Nov. 2007 and my left in April, 2008. The anesthesia used was an eye drop to numb the eye. Like Foxysdad said, it was the easiest surgery I've been through. I would go through 10 times as many of the cataract surgeries than any dental surgery. LOL But the next day you return to the doctor and they check your pressure in the eye. Then I had a return visit 2 weeks later to get a final vision screening and I was released. I was seeing fine by the next day, in fact, when you return to have the pressure checked, they recommend you have a driver. I drove myself and felt confident enough to do it. Good luck with your surgery and I know you will be amazed how clearly you can see. "

" My mom had both her eyes done. She went in, had the eye drops, went through the SHORT surgery and like others have said she said it's the EASIEST thing she's ever done for such a great result! She went in the next day, then a week later. Then the other eye, same procedure. She had lost almost 100% of her sight from cataracts, and now she's at 20/20!!! Only needs reading glasses for the smallest of prints (and she's a nurse). She didn't have any complications at all. Follow DR.'s orders when it comes to eye drops. She uses regular eye drops now though, because her eyes are no longer protected with the glasses she has worn for over 30 years and so they are adjusting to dust and stuff in the air, but other then that she's all healed up. Was back at work within days of the first surgery and worked right through the 2nd one. She didn't have a bandage. She was told to wear a plastic shield (they provided) at night just to keep her from rubbing her eye for the first week. I don't think she even used it the second time around.

Good luck, it's the best thing you can do for yourself. "
