Hello~
I have both illnesses. The fibro has made pain so much more intense. The EMG test I had done showed only mild CTS, but it feels like major CTS. My rheumatologist wrote in my notes that I can only lift up to 5 lbs. I can not use the braces because I also have Dupuytrens' Contracture. Which causes the fingers to curl inward, I also have nodules(bumps)at the last joint at the palm. Adding to the mix is a burning sensation, like I had held my palms to a burner. I don't know what else to do. I can't use ice because this causes my bones to hurt terribly. The doc told me that he wouldn't do surgery because I "only" have this problem mildly. Any suggestions? Thanks all. Posted on 09/05/09, 06:09 am |

Honestly, I would see a different Dr for a second opinion. You rcase doesn't seem mild to me! I hope you find something to help.
